The battery is the half of your vape setup that decides whether a cart tastes right or burns. Every battery here is 510-thread — the universal screw fitting used by nearly all cartridges — and they range from slim pen-style bodies to variable-voltage box mods with preheat.
If your carts keep clogging, tasting burnt, or dying early, the battery is usually the culprit, not the oil.
2.5–3.0V is the flavor range for most distillate carts: cooler vapor, terpenes survive. 3.2–3.7V produces bigger clouds but scorches thin oil and can burn the wick. Thick live resin and rosin carts need the higher end just to move. A fixed 3.7V battery is the fastest way to ruin an expensive cart.
Cold oil pulls away from the coil and the airway plugs. A preheat function runs a low-wattage pulse for 10–15 seconds to loosen it before you inhale. If you vape outdoors or store carts in a cold car, buy a battery with preheat — it will save you more money in unclogged carts than the battery costs.
350–500mAh is a day of light use in a pocket-size pen. 900–1100mAh gets a heavy user through a couple of days. Insist on USB-C: the old 510-thread screw-on chargers are slow, easy to lose, and a common failure point.
Auto-draw batteries fire when you inhale — nothing to press, nothing to click on. Button batteries let you preheat, change voltage, and lock the device so it doesn't fire in a bag. Most people end up preferring a button once they've had a pen fire in a pocket.
